Cardiac Rehabilitation and Secondary Prevention helps people with heart disease, diabetes and those who have had, or are at risk of, a stroke lead healthier lives because cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death among Canadian men and women. Geriatric Rehabilitation supports older people affected by age to live safely and as independently as possible because nearly half a million people over the age of 65 in Canada live with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation helps people overcome the physical challenges of trauma and disease because more patients than ever before are being discharged from hospitals with medically complex conditions following treatment for bone and soft-tissue injury. And as our population ages, thousands more will undergo complex joint replacements or need support to help them live with chronic illness such as osteoarthritis and cancer.

Recumbent Bike - $4,000

Neuro Rehabilitation helps people regain ability and independence following a stroke or brain injury because each year in Canada, about 50,000 people have a stroke, while another 20,000 live with chronic pain or disability due to brain injury, concussion or multiple sclerosis.

WalkAide system - $4,000
An innovative new device that utilizes electrical stimulation to assist with walking, specifically with foot drop.

Spinal Cord Rehabilitation empowers people who live with a spinal cord injury or illness to get on with their lives because an estimated 1,000 people experience permanent disability resulting from a spinal cord injury or illness each year. This program is the largest of its kind in Canada.

Shower stretcher - $7,200
For patient safety, this stretcher used to transport a patient from their room to the shower.
