Toronto Rehab is a fully affiliated teaching hospital of the University of Toronto. Every year more than 1,000 students from more than 40 educational institutions complete part of their clinical training at Toronto Rehab. These students and residencies range in discipline from physiatrists (physicians specializing in physical and rehabilitation medicine) and physiotherapists, to nurses and other healthcare specialists.
A partnership with University of Toronto has resulted in Canada's first university-based rehabilitation nursing course - a field of nursing specialty as recognized by the Canadian Nurses Association.

Toronto Rehab also shares new learning through its Conference Services department which reaches out to approximately 2,500 practicing professionals each year.
